Stratford Man Charged With Shooting Bridgeport Man In Head A Stratford man has been charged in the shooting death of a local man on July 4. Charles Anthony Bonilla, 20, was arrested Thursday, Nov. 14, arrested and charged with the shooting death of Richard McDonald that occurred in Green Homes, in Bridgeport, on July 4, said Terron Jones, spokesman for the Bridgeport Police Department.  Bonilla is alleged to have shot McDonald in the head near the rear of building 4 in Green Homes and fled the scene, Jones said. Man Dies From Injuries After Overnight Shooting In Bridgeport An unidentified man has died after an overnight shooting at the Green Homes apartment complex in Bridgeport. The incident occurred at around 1 a.m. Thursday, July 4 off Center Street, said Bridgeport Police. The victim was a 22-year-old who was shot in the forehead by an assailant behind Building 4, police said. The victim's identity is being withheld from the public pending autopsy. This is the 10th homicide victim of 2019 and the 51st victim struck by gunfire this year. Detectives processed the crime scene at this location and interviewed several witnesses.
