Man Arrested After 2-Year-Old Found Wandering Down Connecticut Street
A man was arrested Saturday after police found a 2-year old child, that he was supposed to be watching, wandering along a busy roadway, according to Cromwell Police. Police responded to a 911 call of a 2-year old wandering in the roadway of Berlin Round by the intersection of Kirby Road. The child was located unharmed and removed from the road by a passerby, police said. Following an investigation, police arrested George Downer, 56, of 10 Kirby Road, Cromwell, who was supposed to be watching the child when they wandered away.
