Listeria Concerns Lead To Recall Of Target, Fresh Market Salads, Sandwiches
Some salads and sandwiches sold at Target and Fresh Market are being recalled due to a potential listeria scare. Elevation Foods announced that they are voluntarily recalling two brands, Archer Farms, and Freskt, which are sold at Target and Fresh Market nationwide. The recalled items include egg salad, tuna salad, Thai lobster and deviled egg sandwiches that were produced on June 18. The Fresh Market To Shut Down 15 Stores Amid Turnaround Plan
Fresh Market is set to shutter the doors of 15 stores in several states as it moves forward with its turnaround plan. The specialty grocery chain announced that it will be closing its locations in nine states over the next several weeks following “analysis of long-term growth,” according to the company. Westport Man Follows Woman Around Grocery Store, Out To Car, Police Say
A Westport man was arrested on charges of breach of peace after following a woman around a grocery store and then out to her car, according to the Westport Police.The incident occurred Nov. 5 at the Fresh Market on Post Road East when James Lawrence, 52, followed the woman around inside the store and then stood outside the door of her car when she left the store, Westport Police said. Westport police were able to identify Lawrence and issued a warrant for his arrest. He turned himself into police on March 5 and was released after posting a $5,000 bond, police said.
