New Canaan 16-Year-Old Charged With DUI After Vehicle Crashes Into Fence In Darien, Police Say A teenager in Fairfield County allegedly had several beers before getting behind the wheel and crashing into a fence near a busy intersection, police said. Officers from the Darien Police Department were dispatched to the intersection of Mansfield Avenue and Fox Hill Lane in Darien shortly after 11 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 1, where there was a report of a motor vehicle crash. Upon arrival, police said that the officers found a vehicle lying against a fence facing southbound, off the shoulder of the northbound lane.
