1 Person Burned During Westport House Fire One person received burns to their hands while attempting to put out a house fire in Fairfield County. The blaze occurred in Westport around 3:30 p.m., on Sunday, Nov. 12, on Riverside Avenue. First arriving firefighters reported smoke and fire visible from the front right side of the home, said Assistant Chief Philip Hessberger, of the Westport Fire Department. The fire was isolated to a three-season porch and was quickly extinguished using a hose line off the first arriving engine. Sisters On Vacation Killed In Hamptons House Fire Police have released the names of two sisters who were killed during an early-morning house fire on Long Island. The victims, Jillian Wiener, age 21, and Lindsay Wiener, age 19, both of Potomac, Maryland, were killed in the Southampton hamlet of Noyac around 3:30 a.m., Wednesday, Aug. 3 on Spring Lane.
