Gas-Fed Fire Kitchen Fire Displaces Fairfield County Family Firefighters were able to quickly extinguish a kitchen fire at a two-family residence in Fairfield County. The fire started around 6 p.m., Monday, Feb. 15, at the home located at 9 Cottage Street in Danbury. Fire and police units were immediately dispatched. Danbury Police Officer Stephan Cameron was on routine patrol in the area and arrived on the scene to find heavy smoke coming from the home, said James Gagliardo, public information spokesman for the department.
