Gas-Fed Fire Kitchen Fire Displaces Fairfield County Family Firefighters were able to quickly extinguish a kitchen fire at a two-family residence in Fairfield County. The fire started around 6 p.m., Monday, Feb. 15, at the home located at 9 Cottage Street in Danbury. Fire and police units were immediately dispatched. Eversource Provides New Update On Power Restoration After Storm Hundreds of Eversource line and tree crews are working to restore power following the intense wind and rainstorm Sunday, Nov. 15, that left thousands of Connecticut customers without power.  The company said crews are working to clear blocked roads, assess the damage, and restore power to customers impacted by the storm.  By the end of the morning, crews had restored power to approximately 20,000 customers since the storm began.  Some 17,400 Eversource customers across the region remain without power as a result of the storm, the company said.
