One Critically Injured In Crash That Causes Road Closure In Fairfield County One person suffered life-threatening injuries after crashing a 2020 Jeep Wrangler into a tree and a utility pole. The crash, which closed the roadway for several hours, took place around 8 p.m., Sunday, March 6, in the area of 300 East Putnam Ave., in Greenwich. When the crash occurred, the Jeep was traveling west when it left the roadway and struck a tree and utility pole on the north shoulder before rolling over onto the roof, said Capt.
