Fatal Crash: 20-Year-Old Driver Strikes Utility Pole On CT Roadway Police are investigating a single-vehicle crash that left a 20-year-old Connecticut resident dead. It happened just after 1:30 a.m. Saturday, May 27 in East Haven. A vehicle was traveling west on Foxon Road in the area of Circle Drive crossed over the double-yellow lines and struck a utility pole on the south side of Foxon Road, East Haven Police said.  The vehicle came to rest in the westbound lane.  The operator was given medical attention on the scene by East Haven Fire Department personnel and was transported to Yale New Haven Hospital where he was pronounced dead. …

The incident took place around 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 22, when the East Haven Police received a 911 call from a visiting nurse at the Caroline Manor Assisted Living facility reported a possible overdose of two employees. Crowd Assaults Cops Responding To Bonfire With Snowballs, Ice, Other Objects, Police Say Police in Connecticut were attacked with large chunks of ice, snowballs, and heavy items as they attempted to disperse a large crowd at a bonfire, causing officers to use pepper spray. The incident took place on Monday, Feb. 15, when East Haven Police officers were dispatched to 113 Bradford Avenue, to assist the East Haven Fire Department with a large crowd burning a large bonfire, said Captain Joseph Murgo.
