Three Darien Police Officers Promoted The Darien Police Commission and Police Chief Ray Osborne have announced the promotions of three officers on Wednesday, May 29. Nick Aranzullo, who started with the department in 2005, was promoted to Lieutenant. In 2009, Lt. Aranzullo assisted with the coordination of the K-9 program and formed the department’s first K-9 unit with canine partner “Zulu.” Lt. Aranzullo also served in the Detective Bureau, receiving a promotion to the rank of Sergeant in 2017. Support, Counseling Offered For Middle School Students After Monroe Eighth-Grader's Suicide The school community is rallying around students at the Jockey Hollow Middle School in Connecticut following the apparent suicide of an eighth-grader. On Friday, May 10, an eighth-grader reportedly died at home, committing suicide, Jockey Hollow principal school principal Jack Ceccolini wrote in a letter to parents over the weekend. The students were informed of the incident on Monday morning, May 13 during an extended homeroom.
