10 Displaced Following Bridgeport Fire Ten people were left homeless following a fire at the Crescent Crossing apartment complex in Bridgeport on Sunday morning. The fire started around 10:49 a.m. at the complex at 160 Church St., said Michael A. Caldaroni, assistant fire chief with the Bridgeport Fire Department. When crews arrived they located a kitchen fire in apartment #413 that had been extinguished by the automatic sprinkler system.
