Cash, Dirt Bike Stolen In Separate Incidents To Sell Items In Fairfield County
Police in one Fairfield County city are warning residents to be careful where they conduct personal sales after one person was robbed of cash and a dirt bike was stolen in another.
The incident both took place on Monday, Sept. 27, in Bridgeport, said Scott Appleby, director of Emergency Management.
The first theft took place around 4:30 p.m. in the 500 block of Trumbull Avenue when a man told Bridgeport police that he was supposed to meet two men to purchase a vehicle.
Two men showed up, one armed with a gun, and instead of buying a car, the man was robbed of $1,500.

Two Men Nabbed Passing Counterfeit Money At Shopping Plaza In Wilton, Police Say
Two of three men were caught allegedly attempting to pass counterfeit money at two Wilton stores, police said.
The incident took place around 5:23 p.m., Monday, July 29, when Wilton Police were called to the Gateway Shopping Plaza on Danbury Road for a report of three men attempting to pass counterfeit money at Michael's and Sally Beauty, said Wilton Police Lt. Robert Kluk.
Officers arrived on scene and detained two Long Island residents: Latrell Garrett, 19, of Wyandanch, and Tyreese Spragg, 19, of Brentwood, Kluk said. A third suspect got away.

Six people in Greenwich were among the almost 300 people were nabbed during a statewide warrant sweep,
The sweep, held at daybreak on Wednesday, July 18, included over 90 municipal, state, and federal law enforcement agencies in the state, said Greenwich Police Department Lt. John Slusarz.

Three Caught With Counterfeit Cash, 13 Pounds Of Pot In BMW In Stamford
Stamford narcotics officers nailed three local men hanging out in a black BMW on Montauk Drive were busted with more than 13 pounds of marijuana, counterfeit money and packing materials, according to the Stamford Police Department.
The bust went down after members of the narcotics unit approached the three men, Kevin Tobar-Castillo, 21; Johan Cifuentes, 30, and Christopher Torres, 21, all of Stamford, in the vehicle and noticed two large bags of marijuana on the floorboard of the vehicle, said Capt. Richard Conklin.
The bag contained about 2.2 pounds of pot, he added.
