A 20-year-old man with two warrants out for his arrest attempted to pull a fast one on some cops in the area who stopped him for erratic driving, police said.
Officers from the Milford Police Department conducted a traffic stop on Old Gate Lane near New Haven Haven shortly before 5 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 19, when the driver was spotted driving erratically.

A Bridgeport man and Stratford woman have been arrested and charged after police allegedly pulled them over in a stolen vehicle.
Milford Police made a traffic stop on I-95 near Exit 36 Tuesday, Nov. 27 following an equipment violation. Upon investigation, police discovered that the vehicle was stolen from Berlin.
Robert Smith, 24, of Bridgeport was the vehicle’s operator. Smith was taken into custody and charged with larceny in the third degree. He was held on $5,000 bail.

Man, 23, Charged With Assault, Resisting Arrest In New Canaan
A 23-year-old man was arrested for assault and resisting arrest during a domestic dispute, according to the New Canaan Police.
Tyler J. Moroch of New Canaan was arrested after officers arrived on the scene Tuesday on Millport Avenue and found Moroch in a domestic dispute with the victim, police said.
An investigation led to the arrest of Moroch who was charged with disorderly conduct, assault, possession of a controlled substance, use of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana, and resisting arrest.
He is being held on $2,500 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday.
Three Nabbed In Danbury Drug Dealing Bust
Danbury Police nabbed three men on a host of drug charges following a weeks-long investigation into drug sales throughout the Danbury area.
The men, Raymond Newsome, 43, and Orlando Ellis, 27, both of Danbury, and Dylan Montana Griffing, 24, of New Milford, were arrested Thursday, May 24, following the investigation initiated after the Danbury Police Department received citizen's complaints regarding Ellis' illegal activity, said Lt.
