Stamford Man Causes Damage To Girlfriend's Fairfield Home, Holds Police At Bay During Standoff A Fairfield County man was arrested after he was allegedly caught breaking windows at his girlfriend's home during a domestic dispute. Derek Pflueger, 40, of Stamford, was arrested around 10:15 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 1, after Fairfield Police responded to a 911 call at a home on Kings Highway, said Lieutenant Antonio Granata.  The victim was able to run out of the home and call police reporting the violent behavior, which dispatchers relayed to responding officers, Granata said.
