The assistant coach worked at Bethel High School, but was not an employee who worked in school buildings daily, according to officials. 2 Children Hit By Vehicle On Busy CT Roadway Two children ages 7 and 9 were struck by a vehicle on a busy Connecticut roadway.  The incident took place in New Haven County around 4 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 30 in the area of 150 Sunnyside Ave., Waterbury. According to Lt. Ryan Bessette of the Waterbury Police, the children were both struck and injured. The driver stayed on the scene. Both children were transported to Waterbury Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries and were considered to be in stable condition, Bessette said. This accident remains under investigation.

Three Arrested In CT Hoarding Case Where Some 200 Cats Were Found, Police Say Three Connecticut adults were charged with 106 counts of animal cruelty in connection to a cat hoarding incident. The incident was discovered in Litchfield County on Monday, June 13 in Winsted. The arrests took place on Wednesday, Oct. 19.  According to Chief William Fitzgerald of the Winchester Police, on June 13, the department received an anonymous phone call about a sick cat at a home on Moore Avenue.  An animal control officer responded to the home and noticed a "strong odor of urine" coming from inside the home, Fitzgerald said. Worker At Area Daycare Center Accused Of Injuring Child A 60-year-old worker was arrested on a warrant for allegedly injuring a child at a local daycare center last month. Tammy Gosney of Milford was charged with risk of an injury to a child for allegedly grabbing a child by the wrist and yanking them up from the ground, causing an injury to the child’s elbow on June 27, said the Milford Police Department. Gosney, who was employed at the Good Child Daycare during the incident, has since been fired, police said. She is scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 28.
