Wallingford Resident Wins $100,000 Cash Five Prize
An area resident took home a cool $100,000 after hitting all the numbers on a Cash 5 lottery ticket. Luis Alicea, of Wallingford, hit the big payout on Sunday, July 12, after matching all five numbers in the game. The winning numbers on the lucky ticket purchased at the Shell Food Mart on North Colony Road in Wallingford were 5-7-9-12-1. Lottery officials said the odds of matching all five numbers on the Cash 5 game are 1 in 324,632. Alicea was the only big winner of the game on Sunday, lottery officials said.

Westport Resident Wins $100K In Cash 5 CT Lottery Game
A Fairfield County man is $100,000 richer thanks to hitting it big in the Cash 5 Lottery game. Peter Peterson of Westport, matched all five numbers to win the game's top prize, said the CT Lottery. Peterson claimed his prize at lottery headquarters on Monday, March 9. He purchased the ticket at the Stop & Shop on Post Road East in Westport, the lottery office reported. Peterson declined to have his winning ticket and picture taken when picking up his prize. The odds of winning the Cash 5 game are 1 in 324,632.

A Fairfield County man is $100,000 richer after hitting it big on a Cash 5 lottery ticket. James McDonald, of Fairfield, picked up his "big check" on Tuesday, Feb. 25, at the state lottery headquarters in Rocky Hills. McDonald, who purchased his ticket at the Cumberland Farms store in Fairfield, matched five numbers to win the game's largest payout. The odds of matching all five numbers are one in 324,632, lottery officials said. McDonald declined to tell his "lottery" story or have his picture taken.
