Authorities are looking for a woman who allegedly smashed a victim's car window, stole her purse, and then tried cashing a check in their name at a Connecticut bank. The search for the suspect stemmed from an incident in Windham County on Wednesday, Oct. 4 just after 5:10 p.m., when the Putnam Police Department responded to a municipal parking lot along the River Trail at 98 Kennedy Dr. for a reported car break-in. Authorities Seek Info After CT Firefighter's Car Broken Into, Gear Stolen
Authorities are investigating after a Connecticut firefighter's car was broken into and her firefighting gear was stolen. The Deep River Fire Department, located in Middlesex County, announced that the car break-in happened during the night of Saturday, April 16. "One of our members had her car broken into last night," the fire department announced on Sunday, April 17. Two Unlocked Vehicles Entered At Fairfield County Park, Hundreds Of Dollars Stolen, Police Say
Hundreds of dollars worth of items were stolen from two cars that were parked outside a Fairfield County park over the weekend. Police officers received two separate complaints from the owners of vehicles entered at Irwin Park in New Canaan while they were in the park walking between 4:15 p.m. and 5:45 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 24. One vehicle was left unlocked with a purse inside, which was stolen, New Canaan Police said.
