Detectives from the Newtown Police Department are investigating a recent report of two stolen motor vehicles from the garage of a Butternut Ridge residence, which were unlocked with the keys inside the vehicle. According to police, the thefts occurred during the early hours of Wednesday, June 6. The following day, at approximately 1:35 a.m., a Taunton Lane resident reported that they found people going through their unlocked cars, which were parked in the driveway.
