A suspect has been apprehended in the cold case murder of an overnight worker at a fast-food restaurant in the area. Danarius Dukes, 43, was arrested on Thursday night, June 2 and charged with the 1993 murder of Theodore “Teddy” Edwards. Edwards was a 77-year-old janitor that worked the overnight hours at Duchess restaurant located in Bridgeport at 35 Boston Ave. "The evidence in this case shows that Dukes and three others devised a plan to rob the manager of the restaurant after closing time," Bridgeport Police said. A woman fleeing from a store after allegedly shoplifting rammed a police cruiser in her attempt to escape. The incident unfolded around 1:45 p.m., Tuesday, June 18 when a Fairfield Police officer was flagged down by an employee of Bob’s Stores, on Post Road, who pointed out a vehicle that was fleeing from shoplifting that just occurred at the store, said Fairfield Police Capt. Customer Doused With Boiling Water In Altercation With Manager At KFC
A customer at an area Kentucky Fried Chicken was allegedly doused in hot water by the restaurant's manager following an argument, said police. The incident took place around 2:50 p.m., Friday, May 3, when the Bridgeport Fire Department and AMR units responded to a report of a burn victim at Kentucky Fried Chicken located at 325 Boston Ave. in Bridgeport, said Terron Jones, spokesman for the Bridgeport Police Department.
