Two Shot, One Hit By Car During Memorial Day Block Party In Fairfield County, Police Say Two people were shot and one was hit by a vehicle during a large Memorial Day block party in Fairfield County. Officers responded to a report of shots fired in Bridgeport on Willow Street near Clermont Avenue where a large block party was taking place around 9:45 p.m., Monday, May 31. When officers arrived on the scene, they spotted a Black man wearing all black clothing with a hoodie displaying a gun who took off running toward Bridgeport Hospital, said Scott Appleby, the City of Bridgeport's Director of Emergency Management. Man Charged For Murder Of Fairfield County Mom Who Police Say Was Innocent Bystander A Fairfield County man has been slapped with a murder charge for allegedly killing a 35-year-old area mother during a block party last year. Ian “Easy” Evans, 28, of Bridgeport, who was arrested last year after the Sunday, Sept. 20 incident which left Shernetta Dunmore, of Stamford dead, was arraigned on murder charges on Thursday, April 1.
