CT Troopers Seize Heroin After Motor Vehicle Stop
Connecticut State Police troopers seized several bags of heroin and a hypodermic needle from a local resident during an early morning traffic stop over the weekend. Troopers stopped Westbrook resident Austin Rinehart on Route 9 at approximately 12:30 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 11 in Chester when he was spotted by patrol driving erratically on the roadway. Police said that during the subsequent traffic stop, it was determined that the 28-year-old was possibly under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
