FAIRFIELD, Conn. Fairfield Warde will host some of the regions top squads Saturday for a 13-team wrestling invitational. The tournament begins at 9:30 a.m.
The Mustangs, who are ranked sixth in the latest Norwich Bulletin state coaches poll, already flexed their muscles in December with a strong second place finish in the Guilford Invitational. Fairfield Ludlowe and Fairfield Prep will also be competing on Saturday. Stamford, Westhill, Brien McMahon, Wilton, Cheshire, New Fairfield, RHAM, Simsbury, Montville and Mahopac, N.Y., are also sending wrestlers to the meet.
Wrestlers will compete in 14 weight classes, from 101 pounds to heavyweight, and admission is $3.
