Victory Puts Fairfield American One Win From Little League World Series

FAIRFIELD, Conn. — Fairfield American is just one win away from making it to the Little League World Series in Williamsport, Pa.

The Fairfield American team is heading for the regional championship game on Saturday. The winner will go to the Little League World Series.

The Little League team from Fairfield won its game Wednesday afternoon, beating Goffstown Junior Baseball from New Hampshire, 9-4.

Fairfield American now heads to the New England Regional championship game at 1 p.m. Saturday. The game will be played in Bristol and will be broadcast on ESPN.

Fairfield American will play the winner of Game 9 in the regional playoff. One team will be Goffstown, which will play the winner of a game between South Portland American from Maine and Essex Junction in Vermont.
