Ludlowe will now face East Lyme on Saturday. See the main sports page for more, including a video of Ludlowe manager Keith O'Rourke.

Softball: Glastonbury 1, Fairfield Ludlowe 0 (13): It took extra innings, but the home team escaped with a walk-off victory to knock the Falcons out of the Class LL tournament, ending their season.

Fairfield Warde 4, Sheehan 3: With a narrow victory, Warde will advance into the quarterfinals of the Class L tournament and will play Daniel Hand on Friday at 4 p.m. at Warde. The Mustangs (18-5) had a bye in the first round and are the fourth seed in the tournament. They were led by two RBI by Katyln McCartney and a strong pitching performance from Gina Treglia.

Girls Lacrosse: Fairfield Ludlowe 8, Trumbull 7: The Falcons barely escaped with a victory at home against fellow FCIAC team Trumbull. They will now advance to face Granby Memorial (16-1, the No. 1 seed) in the quarterfinals of the Division II tournament on Monday in Granby. Ludlowe is the eighth seed with a 13-5 record. Tierney Larson had five goals to pace Ludlowe.

Boys Lacrosse: Fairfield Prep 15, Southington 3: The Jesuits came out and played an inspired game following a loss to Cheshire in the SCC Tournament last week, easily defeating Southington at home.

Girls Tennis: Fairfield Warde 5, Amity: Rain forced the Warde girls tennis team to play two matches in one day, defeating Cheshire in the quarterfinals of the Class L tournament and then Amity in the semifinals. Warde will now face Greenwich on Friday at Yale at 3:00 p.m.
