FAIRFIELD, Conn. Gabrielle Washington scored a career-high 24 points to lead the Sacred Heart University womens basketball team to its ninth win in 10 games Sunday, a 89-69 rout of Cal Poly.
Washington, a freshman from Mesa, Ariz., paced four players in double figures for Sacred Heart. Callan Taylor added 21 points and 12 rebounds for the Pioneers. Kiley Evans scored 13 and Ericka Norman had 10 points and nine assists.
Sacred Heart kicks off a three-game road trip Sunday at Albany.
