FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- The Fairfield Little League softball all-stars are gearing up for a run at a state title, starting Thursday evening. Fairfield plays Bristol at Unity Field in Trumbull for the first game of the Section 1 tournament at 5:30 p.m.
Fairfield defeated Black Rock 10-0 on Tuesday to claim the District 2 championship. The other district winners Fairfield will take on in pool play are Darien, Seymour and North Branford.
