Game Day: Fairfield American Returns To The Field After Tough Loss

FAIRFIELD, Conn. — The pressure is on for Fairfield American on Monday.

After a tough loss Sunday afternoon, the boys from Connecticut will return to the field at 8 p.m. Monday at the Little League World Series. They will take on Walla Walla Valley Little League, the Northwest champions, in the losers bracket.

That game will be broadcast and stream online on ESPN2.

Fairfield American lost Sunday to Texas, 6-3, in their second game of the Little League World Series.

Christian Mumphrey led the drive for Lufkin, Texas, hitting two home runs.

It was the first tournament loss for Fairfield American, which had 19 consecutive wins until Sunday's game.
