Fairfield's Natoli Pens a Tournament Diary

Gabby Natoli of the Fairfield Little League Girls Softball team is writing a diary for TheDailyFairfield.com from the Eastern Regional in Bristol. Here is her latest report:

Hey guys! Gabby Natoli here and the Fairfield All-Stars here in Bristol. On Monday, we had a lot of fun. First we went to breakfast. After that we went back to the dorm to change into clothes for practice since we had practice at 11. At practice we got a lot of reps and I feel we really improved.

After that we went to lunch, then back to our dorms to relax. At the dorm some people went to get some food at the snack shack, while the others stayed to play "Life" and Wii baseball. Unfortunately, during that time, it started raining, pushing all the games back, so now we had an even later game. Finally, though, we had our game.

At 6:15 we had batting practice, and Alice Nelson and I warmed up pitching, since we were supposed to pitch that day. This game we were visitors, so we batted first. This game everyone got on, with Alice hitting a bunch of doubles!

For the field, we changed things up a bit with me pitching, Alice catching, Mary Rose at third, Emma at short, Anna at second, Sarah at first, Julia in center, Erin in left, and Madison and Eliza in right. Unfortunately, during the game Eliza hurt her finger, so hopefully she'll be okay! We ended up beating Maine 17-3, and we are 3-0 so far for seeding games! Wish us luck!
