A crosstown match between boys lacrosse teams from Fairfield Ludlowe and Fairfield Warde kicks off the high school sports season on Wednesday.
The boys lacrosse teams meet at Fairfield Warde at 7 p.m. Warde also hosts Stamford in baseball at 4 p.m. Warde's teams are also home Wednesday for games in boys volleyball against Joel Barlow, girls lacrosse against Guilford and girls tennis against Brien McMahon. The boys tennis team plays its opener at McMahon, the softball team plays at Stamford and the girls track team runs at Fairfield Ludlowe against the Falcons, Bassick and Harding. Fairfield Ludlowe's baseball team begins its season in Norwalk against Brien McMahon. The softball team hosts McMahon at 4 p.m. at Sturges Park. Other home games for Ludlowe include a boys tennis match against Staples, a girls golf match at Smith Richardson against Darien and Weston and the girls track meet. The girls tennis team plays at Staples. Ludlowe's girls lacrosse team, which won the Division II state title last year, opens its season Thursday at New Canaan. Fairfield Prep's lacrosse team opens its season with a home game against Amity at 3:45 p.m. The boys baseball team travels to Sheehan, and the boys tennis team is at Daniel Hand. Prep's schedule is available here.
Notre Dame of Fairfield plays Bullard Havens at home in baseball. The boys lacrosse team hosts Masuk and the girls tennis team hosts Stratford. The softball team visits Weston, and the girls lacrosse team is at Masuk. Click here for Notre Dame's spring sports schedule.
