Fairfield runners were among the 299 finishers in Saturday's April Fools 5K Race for DARE in Easton. Andreas Markakis won the men's race, and Erin Begg captured the women's division. The race is one of the kickoff events of the spring running season. Sunny skies, brisk temperatures and a chilling wind greeted the runners as they made their way from Samuel Staples Elementary School over several surrounding roads.
Carolyn Kosewski (women's 13-20 age division) and Monica Roche (women's 70-and-over division) were among the age group winners. Complete results are available on the Hi-Tek Racing website
