Fairfield Prep Athletes Commit to Colleges

FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Three standout at athletes at Fairfield Prep have signed letters of intent to pursue their sports in college: basketball player Terry Tarpey of Stamford, lacrosse standout Conor Barr of Wilton and lacrosse player Charles Keady of Darien.

Tarpey will play basketball at the College of William & Mary in Virginia. Barr will head to Drexel University and Keady to the University of Michigan.

Tarpey has been a four-year member of the Fairfield Prep varsity team and is this year’s captain He is also involved in the school’s Jeopardy Club and works in community service at the Stamford Boys & Girls Club.

Barr, who also played football at Prep, is involved in the school’s Debate Club and Stock Market Club. He also has contributed to the Campus Ministry program, volunteering to be a freshman retreat leader in his junior year.

Keady, who also played football, is vice president of Prep’s Business Club and is a two-year member of student government. He has served the Prep community as a member of the Cardinal Key Society.
