Fairfield Jr Football Program is a member of Southern Connecticut Pop Warner and is an age/weight matrix-based program. This matrix allows for players to play with participants their own size and weight, which differs from one level fits all grade-based systems.
SCPW play's high school federation rules-based football, which helps to prepare our children for the type of game they will be playing when making the next level transition into high school football.
The league will host many open houses beginning in April. All past and prospective participants are welcome. The session will feature general Information on Giants tackle, NFL flag and cheer programs.
A Safe Play Showcase will be on hand to explain the new "Heads Up Football" style of play and training/certification that all coaches are mandated to perform. The league practices strict concussion awareness training and certification. Parents will see why The NFL has accredited the Fairfield Giants as one of the top Heads Up Football programs in the country.
An equipment showcase that will allow parents and players to see how each participant will be fitted for play as well as to the overall role equipment plays in relation to on field safety.
Information on our Little Scholars Program and the emphasis we place on every child having good academics in order to play organized sports. This past year alone, the Fairfield Giants had 12 boys and girls that were recognized nationally for their academic endeavors as pop Warner scholastic all Americans.
As an added bonus for those who attend an Open House event, a Free FASTT Speed + Agility Camp registration will be offered to all players who who complete registrations at an open house
