Fairfield Giants Announce New Leaders

FAIRFIELD, Conn. — The Fairfield Giants youth football team announced a new leadership team after the retirement of three longtime volunteers.

Mark Innaimo takes over as president of the Giants. He had been the athletic director. Johnny Vasquez will serve as vice president, and Dave Houghton will be the athletic director. Mark Cirilli (treasurer), Lee Battista (recording secretary) and Michelle Scholz (cheer coordinator) are the other members of the Giants leadership team.

Jack Tetreau, Jay Dunn and Mark Schiller stepped down from the leadership of the Giants, one of the state's most successful Pop Warner programs.

Tetreau, in addition to coaching at every level within Pop Warner, has served in various capacities on the Board of Directors, including as athletic director and president. He joined the program in 2002 and was instrumental in turning the program into a nationally recognized powerhouse. Under Tetreau's leadership, the Giants went on to win six state titles, three New England championships and a national championship.

Dunn served the program for eight years and volunteered countless hours at Sullivan Field as a coach, board member, and the last three as executive vice president. Schiller served four years in the program as treasurer.
