FAIRFIELD, Conn. Women from Darien and Stamford helped the Sacred Heart University equestrian team finish in the fall season in first place.
Dariens Jocelyn Alfieri and Stamfords Amanda Contento and Emma Joseph compete for the Pioneers. At the final fall meet against UConn, Alfieri, a sophomore, finished first in her section of open fences, and Joseph finished fourth in her section of walk/trot.
The Pioneers best performance of the fall came in a Nov. 16 meet at Wesleyan, where they recorded perfect scores in every division and grabbed nine blue ribbons.
