Trumbull Man Named Vice Provost At Fairfield University

FAIRFIELD, Conn. — Trumbull resident Don Gibson, Ph.D., has been named vice provost in the Office of Academic Affairs at Fairfield University.

His appointment begins Sept. 1.

Gibson has served as dean of the Dolan School of Business for the past six years, overseeing the school’s expanding and innovative programming, national recognition, top-tier rankings and increased enrollment.

A professor of management, Gibson has taught at Fairfield since 2001.

“Together, with Don, we will be working to ensure Fairfield University continues to deliver a wide range of high-quality academic programs in the Jesuit tradition, fulfilling our commitment to academic excellence, integrated thinking and social responsibility,” said Interim Provost Christine Siegel, Ph.D.
