See Fairfield Ludlowe Vie for 'Challenge' Title

FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Fairfield Ludlowe’s team in “The Challenge” has made its way to the regional finals. You can see for yourself if they’ll be crowned the best team in Connecticut on Tuesday night on MSG Varsity.

"The Challenge" is a quiz show for high school students in Cablevision’s coverage area. Teams of four are given high-school level questions on history, the arts, literature, current events, math and science in front of a live studio audience. The top team in the tri-state area could win $10,000 for its school, plus $500 for each team member.

The Falcons this year are represented by captain Olivia Morrison, Amanda Brenner, Gregory Convertito, Derek Chu and alternate Karen Chu. They are led by academic advisors John Antonello and Courtenay Trahan.

Ludlowe got to the finals by defeating in-town rivals Fairfield Warde in the quarterfinals and Stamford’s Westhill High in the semis. They will take on Wilton on Tuesday night for the Fairfield County division championship and the right to take on the winners from Westchester, Suffolk and Nassau counties, along with Brooklyn, the Bronx and New Jersey.

You can see the Falcons take on the Warriors at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday night on Cablevision/iO Channel 14.
