Holiday Fair Is Sweet Music To Fairfield Warde Students Planning Trip

FAIRFIELD, Conn. — Some Fairfield Warde High School parents are hosting a fundraiser and concert to fund a 2018 music department trip.

The Fairfield Warde Holiday Extravaganza & Concert will feature about 50 vendors, crafters, a bake sale, raffles and more, as well as performances from members of the school’s choir, orchestra and band.

Monetary donations will also be accepted, according to Nancy Wasserman, a Music Parents Association member who is co-chairing the event with Lori Thompson.

Last year, the group raised more than $3,000 for the choir department trip to San Diego State University and they hope to double their donation this year with all proceeds going to a 2018 music department trip

This year’s event will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Dec. 3 in the school’s large gym, 755 Melville Avenue.
