Help a Fairfield School Win New Books

FAIRFIELD, Conn. – The kids of A Child’s Garden pre-school are looking for your help.

By filling out a brief form online, you can help the Mona Terrace school win a load of new books.

A Child’s Garden is in the running for "Books 4 Our School," a contest for schools in the tri-state area sponsored by the Brooke Jackman Foundation and NYMetroParents. If the school collects enough votes by the end of the month, it will win up to 100 free books.

The school is competing against others from New York City, Long Island, Westchester County, Rockland County and Fairfield County. The top 10 vote-getters automatically win a collection of books, along with 10 other schools chosen at random.

Mandy Kelman, whose 5-year-old twins attend A Child’s Garden, introduced the pre-school to the program.

“I signed up our school because I really just thought I had nothing to lose -- if we win, great; if not, oh well,” Kelman said.

To vote for A Child’s Garden, or any other school, visit the contest's website. Voting ends Monday.
