The event was held before the Eli Young Band concert and was aimed at raising awareness of the negative consequences of binge drinking, specifically at pre-concert activities.

Sacred Heart students swarmed the LTUT tables inside Roncalli, Merton and Seton halls for souvenirs including bandanas and water bottles. The water bottles were provided by Chartwells and had stickers attached with the message,

“It takes less than U think to stay hydrated.”  "The event went very well,” said Abby Wooster, LTUT and Student Wellness Education and Empowerment Team (S.W.E.E.T) member. “We had a ton of freshmen come to the event for the swag and to learn about LTUT. We even had a few freshmen stay and help hand some of the stuff out to other students.”

The pre-concert event was one of the several ideas planned for the LTUT fall implementation. The underlying goal was to include humorous messaging to remind students about the negative social effects of binge drinking, while encouraging students to live healthier lives. “This event was definitely a success because there was a lot of positive conversation about safe drinking habits and students were wearing the bandanas to the concert,” said Wooster.

LTUT is directed at students, to increase awareness of the negative outcomes of binge drinking and motivate students to make responsible decisions when consuming alcohol.
