Fairfield's Dolan School Undergraduate Accounting Program Ranked No. 1

FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- The undergraduate accounting program at the Dolan School of Business in Fairfield has been ranked No. 1 in Connecticut, according to Accounting Degree Review.

The online resource gives rankings and critical reviews of top accounting and finance programs.

The review also ranked the Dolan School’s graduate program No. 16 nationally among 50 other schools in the country, placing Fairfield on “The Top 50 Graduate Accounting Programs ranking list for 2016.”

The top 10 undergraduate list was formulated by reviewing how each school ranked according to influential publications and websites including U.S. News and World Report, Forbes, Bloomberg Business, Princeton Review and Tax Talent.

Three accounting rankings from U.S. News and World Report, Public Accounting Report and Brigham Young University were combined to create the 2016 list of “The Top 50 Graduate Accounting Programs.”

“It’s an intense program, but when they are done, our students are highly prepared for entry into major accounting firms. And most of them go there," said Donald Gibson, dean of the Dolan School.
