Fairfield Scholarship Foundation Awards $1.6 Million In 25 Years

FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- The High School Scholarship Foundation of Fairfield will celebrate its 25th anniversary in 2014 with a number of landmark events.

This year, the foundation is hoping to raise $25,000 in contributions, which will go toward funding higher education for Fairfield students in need. To date, the foundation has given more than $1.6 million in scholarship money. Click here if you would like to contribute

“We didn’t have much to start with,” founder Mary Kay Frost said in a statement. “But with the vigorous help of our then steering committee volunteers Bob Genualdi, Ann Flanagan, Eve Schare, Debbie Zeiff, Nancy Larsen, and others, we were able to gain traction over the years and establish a large number of scholarships we give away annually for a variety of criteria, not solely academics.”

The foundation will also hold a fundraising gala next spring to celebrate a quarter century of service to the community.
