FAIRFIELD, Conn. Both of Fairfields colleges can count themselves among the best in the country, according to the Princeton Review.
The organizations Best 377 Colleges list for 2013 includes both Fairfield University and Sacred Heart University.
The Princeton Review bases its rankings on surveys from students across the country. The company uses those surveys to rank schools on specific categories, ranging from Happiest Students to Best Town-Gown Relations. The book does not provide overall rankings. About 15 percent of colleges make the list annually.
"We don't rank them 1 to 377, because they differ widely in their program offerings and campus culture, and that is their strength, says Robert Franek, the book's author in a press release.
Both schools also showed up on more specific lists. Sacred Heart was singled out for WSHU radio, which was named 14th Best College Radio Station. Fairfield Universitys rankings were less positive. The school came in at No. 10 on the Little Race/Class Interaction list, and No. 14 on Strained Town-Gown Relations.
