Current principals Glenn Mackno and Connee Dawson had previously announced that they would be leaving their posts at the end of the school year. The Board of Education recently appointed Megan Tiley and Sally Bonina to take over the schools effective July 1.
Tiley, appointee at Roger Ludlowe, is currently the housemaster of Webster House at Fairfield Ludlowe High School. Before that she worked as a vice principal in Westport, as athletic director of Fairfield Warde High School and as a physical education and health teacher in Westport and Rye, N.Y.
“Ms. Tiley brings to her new position a wealth of accomplishments and knowledge of the district, students, staff and programs,” Title said in a press release. “She is a confident and capable administrator who will be a strong leader for the Roger Ludlowe Middle School Team.”
Bonina, Tomlinson’s new principal, comes to Fairfield from Derby, where she has been the principal of Derby Middle School for the past seven years. She also has experience as a Spanish teacher in Stamford and Shelton public schools.
“Some of the words that colleagues have used to describe Ms. Bonina are exceptional, enthusiastic, informed, positive, consistent and caring,” Title said. “Her vision, energy, experience and leadership qualities will be a tremendous asset to the students, parents, staff and programs at Tomlinson Middle School.”
