Pearson is currently the assistant principal of Miller-Driscoll School in Wilton, where she has worked since 2010. Before that, she worked as a language arts specialist in Danbury and as an instructional coach and teacher in Greenwich.
She will replace current principal Ginger Vail, who will leave McKinley at the end of the school year. Vail has been McKinley’s principal since 2010.
Pearson holds a bachelor of arts degree from Cornell University, a master of arts from Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies and a master of arts in teaching from Manhattanville College. She will officially start July 1.
“Please join me in welcoming Mrs. Pearson to the McKinley community and wishing her well in her new assignment,” Superintendent David Title said in a statement last week.
