The publications rated public schools across the country based on graduation rate, college acceptance rate, the number of AP, IB or AICE exams taken per student and scores on those exams, and SAT or ACT scores. The list used school-reported data from the 2011-12 school year.
“For the last two years, Newsweek and The Daily Beast have considered the nation’s high schools with a simple conceit: to find the ones that best prepare students for college,” the article says.
Fairfield Ludlowe was 15th among Connecticut schools on the list, and 691st in the country. Fairfield Warde came in at No. 23 in the state, and No. 965 nationwide. For the full list, click here.
