Hacker is majoring in music at Eastern.

Professor Jeff Calissi directed the show, exhibiting the talents of 14 performers.

Since its inception in 2006, the Ensemble has played host to several guest artists and clinicians such as Nathan Daughtrey, Tomm Roland and Arthur Lipner. In addition to performing a concert at the conclusion of each semester, the Percussion Ensemble also performs each year at the Percussive Arts Society Connecticut Chapter Day of Percussion and for various campus functions such as recruitment concerts at area public schools.

Eastern percussionists enjoy an ever-growing collection of instruments and have the opportunity to participate in guest master classes, workshops and concerts. Additionally, Eastern percussionists regularly perform in the large ensembles of the University such as the Eastern Concert Band and Willimantic Orchestra, and are given frequent opportunities to play with off-campus ensembles within the surrounding communities such as The Classic Brass, the Manchester Symphony Orchestra and the Concert Choir of Northeast Connecticut.
