Born and raised in Fairfield, Papageorge and his family's ties to the area date back to the early 1900s. "My family and I all have our roots in the area," said Papageorge. Growing up, his father owned the Center Restaurant in downtown Fairfield, and instilled in young George the importance of hard work. "When I was a young boy, I would leave middle school and wash dishes, bus tables and peel potatoes at the restaurant," he said. "I learned my work ethic there."
After graduating from college, Papageorge began a career in environmental data management, eventually earning the title of vice president at one of the nation's largest firms. However, his passion for being outside and working with people prompted him to begin managing real estate in his free time.
"I always loved being in real estate," he said "I used to manage my dad's rental properties and liked seeing new things, being outdoors and meeting new people." Eventually, Papageorge decided to make real estate his full time profession, and he hasn't looked back since.
From helping young families find their first homes to assisting empty-nesters in locating their perfect retirement properties, Papageorge takes pride in leading buyers to their dream listings. "I really like taking people to see a home and feel that each house has its own personality," he said. "Coming from a stress-filled corporate world, getting out and showing these properties makes me happy."
When helping clients navigate the complex buying and selling process, Papageorge works to treat them like friends and family. "Buying or selling can be stressful," he said. "I like to make people feel comfortable, manage their expectations, be patient and give people the love and courtesy they deserve."
