The latest Grand List is set for Oct. 1, and the town planned 10 information sessions throughout the year until the end of October.

The session on May 21 is the fifth session of the 10, and the last of the first phase of meetings.

The first phase is aimed at helping residents understand how revaluation works and how they can prepare their properties. The different phases of revaluation will be explained: data collection, market analysis, valuation, field review and hearings.

The second phase of meetings, due to begin on June 18, will concentrate on trends in local neighborhoods' property values since the last revaluation in 2010.

New property values are expected to be announced in November. Any questions about results can be forwarded to the Assessor’s Office by calling 203-256-3110.

Future Thursday night sessions are planned for June 18, July 23, Aug. 20, Sept. 24 and Oct. 22. Go online to www.fairfieldct.org/townmeetings to confirm sites and times.
