HARTFORD, Conn. — State Sens. Tony Hwang (R-28) and Ed Gomes (D-23) were honored this week for their support for those trying to rebuild their lives after incarceration.

Photo Credit: ContributedThe pair received the 2017 Elizabeth Bush Award from Family ReEntry, Inc., an organization that helps incarcerated people make a successful transition from prison back into the community.
The ceremony took place in the Senate Chamber of the State Capitol in Hartford.
