To the editor:
There is no one in the Connecticut Legislature who works harder for his district than State Sen. Tony Hwang.
What some in his sprawling district (including Easton, Fairfield, Newtown, Weston, and Westport) may not be fully aware of is the growing respect he has throughout the state for his strong and sensible leadership on such issues as fiscal accountability, job creation, education, and transportation.
Having worked with Tony, I have also been extremely impressed with his concern for quality of life issues, including the environment and social responsibility, as well as his leading role in opposing gambling expansion in Connecticut, which if approved could lead to casinos in Fairfield County.
I strongly endorse him for re-election to the State Senate.
