To the Editor,
I’ve had enough when it comes to the Democratic leadership of this state. They are incompetent and refuse to accept the reality that our state is in serious trouble financially.
Even with the two highest tax increases in state history in 2011 and 2015, our state is still struggling to get our economy back on track, and I have no doubt that if Democrats retain the majority in the legislature after the election, they will turn back to their playbook of raising taxes to try to right this sinking ship.
Raising taxes yet again will not work. We have one of the highest tax burdens per person in the nation as well as one of the highest costs of living, and if the Democrats impose more taxes, these burdens will only increase for Fairfield taxpayers.
Brenda Kupchick has proven that she will stand up to the tax and spend policies of the majority party. She knows that Fairfield cannot afford what is happening in Hartford.
Please join me in supporting Rep. Kupchick on November 8th so we can send this common sense voice back to Hartford to continue fighting for us.
